(I was thinking you'd want to at least post something about her attention wandering or something... but if you don't mind, I'll go ahead)

Garkhen's soft chuckle was getting to be a familiar sound by now. "That would depend on what you mean by 'where am I from'. If you refer to the place of my birth and upbringing, I must admit that I could not tell you. If you refer to my current place of residence, the truth is that, while I do now have my residence in Olthir, in the nation of Ferdunan, I travel so widely across all of Draezoln that I hardly consider it my home." He paused for a moment, as if unsure how to continue, before he did so. "That is why I was so surprised that these cities you mention are unfamiliar with me. I have visited all the major nations of both the North and South Continents, and never heard of these cities before..." he hesitated again, "Which leads me to believe that I am on neither continent. Perhaps not even on Draezoln. I suspect that you could confirm this suspicion for me."

[Elystriana]

Vera blinked, not recognizing any of the names.~And I thought my wandering had been pretty thorough. I guess I didn't go far enough.~ "No," she replied to Garkhen. "I have never heard any of those names, so your suspicion is most likely correct." She paused for a moment, idly curling her leg around her staff. "Unless you're from the underworld. I've never been down there."

[Almonihah]

Garkhen shook his head, then spoke. "While I have lived underground at times, all of the places I have mentioned are above the ground. Hence,it would seem that I am, indeed, very far from home." He paused for a moment in thought, then continued, "Which means that returning to my home will no doubt require magical aid. Would there be those in Baron who might be able to assist me in this?"

(I was thinking it would be interesting if we ended up talking with Ben for a bit. It'd be a while before we did, and it would probably only be for a bit, so 'Wren wouldn't have to take too much time out of her busy schedule to respond. Of course, this assumes we're on the correct Blue Planet for Ben to be around)

"I wouldn't know," Vera said, waving her hand in a dismissive gesture. "It's quite possible, but as I said, I'm not really a fan of cities." She thought for a moment. "I suppose if you don't find anyone there, Mysidia's the next choice." ~And at least there aren't any Lunars or part-Lunars there, except for Vere~ she thought, but refrained from saying it aloud. "Though, if you're gonna go into any human city, you'll want to wear a cloak unless you like scaring people half to death."

(It would be interesting. It's fine with me if 'Wren agrees. If we are on the correct Blue Planet, Vera would know of Ben, but very little about him. She tends to avoid other Lunars, though she doesn't really have a reason for this other than that her mother did as well. So if they did meet Ben, that would be kinda fun to write, I suppose.)

Garkhen sighed. "I am... somewhat accustomed to such reactions, though in truth, my reputation upon Draezoln had become such that I rarely caused such any more. Certainly, heading for a city seems more likely to help me return home than remaining here, unless you would have a better idea?"

Then he turned to Kel and said, "Kel, I apologize that we have not included you in this conversation. Would you like to see what a city is like?"

[Maracate]

"Eh?" Kel's head snapped up. She hadn't really paid attention to what the Garkhen-creature and the Veralyn-creature has been sounding. Especially since it wouldn't have made a difference if she had paid attention. They used a lot of sounds that where completely alien to her. She frowned as the question registered in her mind, and said slowly "Sure..... If you truly believe such a thing exists."

Vera shook her head and pulled her headband out of her belt. "Nope, no better ideas." She tied the golden cloth band on as she spoke, letting the ends hang down over her left ear. "I suppose while we're there, I can get some ice cream. It's been a long time..." she trailed off to a murmur as she finished tying her headband and listened to Garhken and the little girl, Kel. Kel's answer made her blink. ~If it...truly exists...?! She doesn't think cities exist?~

Garkhen chuckled again at Kel's doubtfulness. "I assure you that such places do exist. I have lived in them often enough to know!" Then he turned back to Vera. "I believe you are the only one of us who knows the way. If you would be so kind as to lead us?"

"As you request," Vera said in a not-quite-mocking tone of voice, hopping up from the rock she had been sitting on and picking up her staff. Taking another glance around to catch her bearings, she started down the trail, glancing behind her to make sure the other two were following. "Onward, as we follow the rabbit to Baron." she said mischeviously, before realizing that that would probably make no sense to Garkhen or Kel. ~Great, and I really don't want to explain that.~ She cast about for something to cover the previous statement. "So," she asked Garkhen, "Are dragons common where you come from then?"

"That... would depend on what you mean by common," responded Garkhen. "Certainly, they are spread throughout the whole of Draezoln, but they are not numerous. Were they to gather together as men do, no doubt there would only be a few towns full of them."
