Well, it's not exactly artwork, but I was to lazy to find a better thread or start a new one. My rhyming needs work, but hopefully it's accurate? *winces*

Song for KiNaTu
Corruption has riddled the heart of The Manor
Pride and arrogance calling the power they prize
But those same souls are now shaken up by disaster
Their planet is sickening, dying, destructing
All the magic they muster can’t stop its demise.

A young man is searching for those he calls family
The day is at hand and he would see them safe
But he cannot find them for all of his trying
A choice now- to die or to leave them, surviving,
He flees the destruction with his life, and his grief.

Mourn for a nation has fallen,
And weep for a planet that’s lost-
For loved ones whose lives are now only a memory;
To carry this sorrow, a burden, his cost.

In a faraway place- a new land, the Blue Planet
A new home and new purpose- the tower of Zot
A young boy to love like the son he had cherished
But betrayal by one now consumed by the Hatred
Brings him broken, defeated, again down to naught

His body now twisted for darkness’s purpose
Emotions, unstable, warped now toward insane
A mind now implanted with one single purpose
To hunt down and kill one who was rescued from Shadow
The boy he protected, the student he trained

Who now can reach through the darkness within him
And heal what the Hatred has done to his soul
From out of the past shines a hope that could save him
A chance to regain what fate cruelly had taken

Wow, Elystriana, that was nice! The rhyming scheme threw me off a little at first, but I got used to it quickly.

Thank you! *blushes* I'm not all that fond of putting irregular rhyme schemes in my poems, actually, but it was the only one I could get to work. I like writing story-type poems, but they're so much harder than descriptive ones.

I agree -- that was beautifully written! I think that's the most poetic and deep summarizations of Kip's life written so far. It's been a long time since I've written poetry, but I know how much goes into working on rhyme and rhythm!

I'm glad you like it. And sure, I don't mind you posting it up- I'd like that. It's set to a tune, but I don't know how to post audio files in a forum, so I guess it's more of a poem than a song.

And yes, I so much want to see them meeting again. *heart*

I like this. The unconventional rhyme scheme really makes me happy... (do you know how much I love writing in free verse?!) And it's really emotional, as all good poetry should be. I wish I could hear the tune it was meant to be sung to... I like to sing and it would be interesting to try.

It's prose, and I'm not sure it's accurate at all, nor even where it would be in the timeline of the Sygnus universe, but...
Well, let's just say I wrote it because I like Zemi and leave it at that. Also, forgive my spelling of the Welsh 'a' word that pronounciation I find imposible and spelling escapes me...

Emptiness was not as painful as feeling.
Emptiness, the apathy that had been, had never been as painful as what tore at him now. It had him by the heart, the great sorrow, the great guilt, the great longing, and it was breaking him as nothing should be able to.
What did it mean if he had so carelessly thrown away his objectivity in order to become close to the ones who had so piqued his curiosity? They were still suffering. His sacrifice had meant nothing. That is what Zazo would probably say to him, but Zemi was not Zazo.
No matter how painful it was, Zemi loved them all. He loved his sisters, he loved ASaHi, he loved TsuYa, he loved SoYa, he loved KuDaKo, he loved the Tu family, and he loved his Dragons (to name a few). Love made the pain worth it. Love was the one thing that had made everything so worth it. It was what had driven him.
Arywiend were supposed to be apathetic, they were not supposed to become attatched to the silly Earthians. They were immortal, so attatchments to things that could perish and die were foolish, but Zemi loved them. Love...
Love was so beautiful. It was what made him smile through the pain, even if he did not know it was love he was feeling.
