I know some folks remember the Wildwood kitties, which were released a few months prior to the KittyCatS on the grid. They had a very different art style and a somewhat uncertain breeding pattern (I recall never knowing which cats needed boosters and who wanted to be held, etc.). While I didn’t keep up with Wildwoods after I started breeding other pets, I heard that the original Wildwood somewhat vanished from Second Life, leaving some folks asking what happened and where they went.
Earlier last year, I reported on a post on the original Wildwood homepage that alerted people to the fact they were changing their name to Imaginimals and updating their pets. The updated cats were slated to be released in 2012, but don’t appear to have made it in time.

Since then, the original Wildwood website vanished and the Imaginimals site has moved URLs. I’ve seen further questions about what happened to Wildwood, so I decided to do some digging and found some resources that interested breeders might want to see:
