It only took Ben 7 years to break out of Zot!
Welcome to Shimmer’s 7th Birthday! Yes, I know it was exactly one year ago today that I posted the last new piece of art. And yes, it’s sad that in all this time I only had one more page to go before finishing Chapter 21. But, hey, it’s here!
My goal for this year is to continue working on the revamps as I have been. I can’t tell you how often or if I’ll finish these pages this year, but the goal is to complete up through the beginning of Chapter 12. I do have a script for Chapter 22 sitting on hand, but just like last year, I doubt that I’ll be working on new stuff as long as revamps are on my mind.
Thank you to every one who’s stuck with Shimmer even through the down times and revamps. Your comments and suggestions keep me moving forward with things and I appreciate your patience! I’d love to be here this time next year and look back on a completely revamped comic with new material on the horizon.

Is this different from the Darkstar realm/dimension?
Cause I thought Klu was alive, just.. yea.
I’m probably wrong though, up until the Tower of Zot in the DS remake I though Cecil and Kain were brothers. XD
Yes, this is the same as the Darkstar dimension. In Darkstar, KluYa was killed at the same time Ben was taken to Zot.
Does this site still update?
It does when I have time (been on vacation, working on other projects lately, etc). Mostly, I’m working on updating old chapters on this site — currently Chapter 4.
So, no, there hasn’t been a new page in a while. But there has been updates, and I still plan on working on it when I can. I actually have script written and a plot roughed out, so it’s not for a lack of trying… just a lack of time. Sorry. : <
Still holding out hope for a new update. Pretty please, Aywren? Hopefully inspiration (and free time) will arrive soon for you.
Aww… I’m sorry. Right now is NaNoWriMo, so I don’t have any updates slated for this project. And when I do, it’ll be working on the revamp first.
Any hope for an update anytime soon? Shimmer (especially little Ben and Aur ^.^) is my favorite!
